This is a collective book based on a one-day seminar organized by the Department of Communication and Media Studies at the National University of Athens.

The contributors are focused on the media ethics and how journalists can react to the pressures of the new competitive era.

It also discusses how journalists and the media react in crisis situations, using case examples from the Vietnam War (Todd Gitlin, Herny Kamm), the near war situation in the Aegean Sea between Greece and Turkey (Ioannis Pretenderis) and crisis in the military (Dimitris Alexopoulos, Stylianos Papathanassopoulos).
